The Corn Exchange in Manchester is a vibrant hub of commerce and culture. With a rich and storied past that spans over a century and a half, this historic landmark has played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s identity.
THE BRIEF: TC Communications commissioned on behalf of me to capture the the grandeur of the building and the wider neighbourhood of central Manchester. This historic building contains a plethora of restaurants, bars, art galleries and a hotel.
THE SHOOT: As a Surrey Photographer, this was never going to be a quick trip! It was actually combined with a shoot in Cardiff for the same clients. I spent 2 nights at the fabulous Roomzzz Aparthotel inside the Corn Exchange. There are many Architectural features of this hotel which remain from its heritage and have survived its many reincarnations. The incredible central domed atrium connects all the ground and first floor eateries giving an airy outside-in feeling and provided plenty of opportunities for varying compositions of the space.
